چکیده
Background: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (Type DM), characterized by a relative insulin deficiency or resistance, is associated with cluster of metabolic abnormalities, which includes glucose intolerance, hypertension, unique dyslipidemia, procoagulant state, and an increase in macrovascular diseases. Aims Objectives: The present study was conducted to correlate between fasting postprandial apolipoprotein B total cholesterol/high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (TC/HDL-C) ratio for predicting the risk atherosclerosis T2DM subjects. Materials Methods: Sixty clinically diagnosed cases (age group 35–65 years duration more than 5 years) were included sixty age- sex-matched healthy subjects taken as controls. In both groups, we measured well lipid profile, comprised serum TC, triglycerides (TGs), HDL-C, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), B. Ratio calculated TC/HDL-C state. statistical analysis done using students unpaired’-test. Results: results showed significantly increased levels TGs, LDL-C, apo compared those state (P<0.05). HDL-C level lower that Postprandial are condition type Conclusion: findings suggest B, cardiovascular factor can be utilized simple marker utilizing parameters profile state. Thus, Apolipoprotein number LDL particles (for atherosclerosis) circulation routinely estimated assessment

The association between small dense low density lipoprotein, apolipoprotein B, apolipoprotein B/apolipoprotein A1 ratio and coronary artery stenosis
Abstract Background: Recently, small dense low density lipoprotein (sdLDL) has been highlighted as a new risk factor for the coronary artery disease (CAD).Small dense LDLs are believed to be atherogenic since these particles are taken up more easily by arterial wall. They are readily oxidized and have reduced affinity for low density lipoprotein (LDL) receptor and increased affinity...
متن کاملHigh -density lipoprotein cholesterol as a predictor for diabetes mellitus
Background: Diabetes is a prevalent chronic disease around the world. To evaluate risk of diabetes comprehensively, we developed a score model for the risk prediction with HDL-C as a protective factor. Methods: We extracted physical examination data of 2728 individuals. The data contain 18 demographic and clinical variables. To identify the statistical significant feature variables, the backwa...
متن کاملRelation between low-density lipoprotein cholesterol/apolipoprotein B ratio and triglyceride-rich lipoproteins in patients with coronary artery disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus: a cross-sectional study
BACKGROUND The low-density lipoprotein cholesterol/apolipoprotein B (LDL-C/apoB) ratio has conventionally been used as an index of the LDL-particle size. Smaller LDL-particle size is associated with triglyceride (TG) metabolism disorders, often leading to atherogenesis. We investigated the association between the LDL-C/apoB ratio and TG metabolism in coronary artery disease (CAD) patients with ...

ASSOCIATION ANALYSIS BETWEEN RS10830962 VARIANT OF MTNR1B GENE AND TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS RISK
Background: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is the most common type of diabetes that was classically characterized by pancreatic β-cell dysfunction. Changes in circadian patterns is one of the reasons which can increase the occurrence of diabetes. Melatonin is one of the biological molecules which plays an important role in regulating the circadian clock and also an inhibitory effect on insulin...
